Courses |
| Any MARS member who, as a member of an active duty, reserve, or National Guard command, or through employment with the US Government, or a contractor with the U.S. Government, has taken a correspondence course, school, or other training that is considered Secret, Top Secret, or otherwise restricted can not apply for MARS credit for that course. |

The very existence of such courses is sometimes classified; |

|
|
|
|
|
The nature of the material covered is usually not identifiable to other than those with a need and a right to know; |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
It is highly unlikely that the material in the course will contain any direct benefit to MARS; and, |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
It is unlikely that MARS staff could obtain from the issuing authority confirmation of the course, it's completion, or the nature of the subject matter. |
