THE CENTRAL AREA OPS WAS REMOVED FROM THE WEBSITE DUE TO SOME CORRECTIONS THAT NEED TO MADE TO THE GUIDE, ONCE THE CORRECTIONS ARE MADE THE GUIDE WILL BE BACK ON THE CENTRAL AREA WEBSITE ALONG WITH THE GUIDE FOR TANGO MEMBERS THAT WILL BE POSTED IN THE TRAINING AREA ON THE WEBSITE. 2. THIS YEAR'S CENTRAL AREA CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD HERE IN GREAT LAKES ON JUNE 17, 2006. I HAVE MADE ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE THE MEETING AND BANQUET HELD ON THE NAVAL BASE AT THE PORT "O" CALL CONFERENCE AND BANQUET CENTER. IT'S A NICE SIZE ROOM THAT WILL ACCOMMODATE ALL OF OUR NEEDS FOR THE DAY WITH A NICE VIEW OF THE BEACHFRONT FROM THE BANQUET AREA. ALSO I HAVE MADE ARRANGEMENTS WITH THE NAVY LODGE TO BLOCK ROOMS FOR THE MEMBERS, THE ROOMS WILL BE UNDER THE NAME "MARS CENTRAL AREA CONFERENCE". PLEASE CALL THE LODGE AT 847-689-1485 TO MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS. THE PRICE OF THE ROOMS IS $61.00 PER NIGHT AND I HAVE THEM BLOCKED FROM THE 16TH TO THE 18TH OF JUNE. NOW SINCE WE ARE HAVING THE CONFERENCE ON THE NAVAL BASE IT IS A MUST THAT I RECEIVE AN ACCURATE HEAD COUNT OF MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES THAT WILL BE COMING TO THE CONFERENCE FOR SECURITY PURPOSES. I WILL GIVE THE LIST TO THE GATE GUARD AT THE ENTRANCE GATE AND LET THEM KNOW THAT THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES WILL NEED ENTRANCE INTO THE NAVAL BASE FOR THE CONFERENCE. FOR THOSE WHO ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE NAVAL BASE THE MAIN GATE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION RIGHT NOW SO YOU WILL HAVE TO ENTER THROUGH THE HOSPITAL GATE WHICH IS GATE#3. I WILL GET A MAP ON THE WEBSITE FOR MEMBERS WHO ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE BASE AND THE NAVY LODGE SO EVERYONE WILL HAVE ACCURATE DIRECTIONS. WE WILL HAVE FRESH COFFEE, DOUGHNUTS, AND CHILLED FRUIT JUICES AVAILABLE FOR THE MORNING MEETING WHICH WILL PROBABLY START AROUND 8:30AM ON THE 17TH . FOR THE BANQUET DINNER WE WILL HAVE A DINNER BUFFET CONSISTING OF HERB ROASTED COUNTRY CHICKEN WITH AU JUS, ALONG WITH A VEGATABLE , ONE STARCH, SALAD, A BREAD SELECTION, REGULAR AND DECAF COFFEE, WATER AND ICED TEA, AND A DESERT. THE PRICE OF THE BUFFET IS $20.95 PER PERSON. ALSO I WILL NEED AN ACCURATE COUNT OF MEMBERS WHO ARE STAYING FOR THE BANQUET SO I CAN LET THE REPS KNOW AT THE PORT "O" CALL HOW MUCH FOOD THEY NEED TO COOK. THE AWARDS WILL BE CERTIFICATE OF REGONITIONS, AND LETTER OF COMMENDATIONS, ALSO WE WILL HAVE A MEMBER OF THE YEAR AND COMMUNICATOR OF THE YEAR. MAKE SURE IF YOU HAVE A MEMBER THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO NOMINATE FOR EITHER MEMBER OR COMMUNICATOR OF THE YEAR, SUBMIT THEIR NAMES VIA THE CHAIN OF COMMAND FOR PROCESSING.
